What should I do about misleading advertising?
If you believe that a website contains misleading advertising
then you should report it to the Advertising Standards Authority. You
can find their website at www.asa.org.uk and see further information on
how to make a formal complaint.
If you purchased insurance through the Internet, you can
also write to the Insurance Company, addressing the complaint to their
Compliance Director. Insurance Companies do not have any actual responsibility
for monitoring their brokers but they are likely to be very interested,
as they will not want to be linked with a website that contains misleading
advertising.
