Will my Mortgage Lender charge a fee if I buy my Life Insurance from
someone else?
No! By law mortgage lenders cannot charge a fee if you
choose to shop elsewhere.
Interestingly, mortgage lenders are allowed to charge you
a fee if you arrange your Home Insurance with someone else.
However, this DOES NOT apply to Life Insurance. Under
UK Law you are perfectly entitled to shop around for the best deals and
your mortgage provider has to accept your decision without cost.
